What's New for 2026
There are quite a few changes made to the 2026 Ram 1500. This year will see the return of the much-loved Hemi V8, and it will be available on the Tradesman, Express, Warlock, Big Horn, and Laramie trims. Additionally, a new trim called the Express joins the lineup, and it will be a low-cost model offering blacked-out headlamps and a dark gray interior. It's available with rear- or four-wheel drive and as either a Quad or Crew Cab body style. Lastly, there's a new appearance package called the Black Express. This package will be offered for Quad and Crew Cab body styles and include a unique Sport hood, black exterior badging, black 20-inch wheels, and black cloth seats.
Performance
The new Ram 1500 offers a base 3.6-liter V6 with eTorque mild hybrid engine with 305 horsepower and up to 20 mpg city/25 highway. The 5.7-liter HEMI V8 outputs 395 horsepower and 410 lb.-ft of torque, while the new 3.0-liter Hurricane twin-turbo inline-six generates an impressive 420 horsepower in standard output and 540 horsepower in high output. All engines pair with an eight-speed automatic transmission and are available with rear-wheel drive or part-time four-wheel drive.
Technology
The Ram 1500's spacious cabin is loaded with advanced technology features. The Uconnect 5 infotainment system, available with a massive 12-inch or even larger 14.4-inch touchscreen, offers navigation and wireless smartphone integration. There's also an available 19-speaker Harman Kardon sound system and available safety features, including blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, automatic emergency braking.
